Local Support Groups
Connecting with others who understand your experience can make all the difference. This directory highlights local and virtual support groups across New Hampshire for pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, mental health, infant feeding, recovery, and parenting helping you find community, encouragement, and guidance when you need it most.

Postpartum Support International offers 50+ free virtual support groups for pregnant and postpartum parents facing challenges such as mood concerns, loss, fertility struggles, birth trauma, and more.

Emotional wellness during pregnancy and the postpartum period is essential for both parents and babies. Evidence-based screening tools such as the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS), Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ), and Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) help identify symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar spectrum disorders, and safety concerns early.

These assessments are free, confidential, and easy to complete. While they are not diagnostic, they provide valuable clinical insight and help determine whether additional support or evaluation may be beneficial. If results indicate elevated risk or concern, we encourage prompt follow-up with a qualified mental health professional to ensure appropriate care and support.

*If you are experiencing thoughts of harming yourself or your baby, please call 911 or seek immediate emergency support.  PSI Hotline: 1-800-944-4773
